My Year in Status 2011

I love seeing my year in Facebook Status updates :)  Happy New Year everyone!

Christmas Lights

We put up the Christmas lights on the house today :)  This year the whole family was able to help.  Bean and I did the sidewalk lights while Ryan and Bug wrapped the trees and put up our Santa on the tractor.

I updated Facebook as I went today ~ I'll include those with the pictures!

2:00 pm  Ryan is outside putting out our Christmas lights while Bug plays with the ants that have taken up residence near our front door and Bean re-reads Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone on the sidewalk. I am, of course, working on a Nursing School assignment at the dining room table :)

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

5:00 pm  We finished putting the Christmas lights and decorations outside and now it's on to the tree. Bean and I put it up last night (with a little help from Bug) and now we're going to put on the lights...

S'mores in the Driveway 2011

It's becoming somewhat of an annual tradition - S'mores in the Driveway.
Every year for the past 3 years, our neighbor has invited us over to make s'mores in his firepit that he sets up in his driveway.  This year was no different except that the weather was super warm :)
Strawberry and regular marshmallows, hot chocolate, graham crackers, chocolate and glow sticks make for a super fun evening!

Thanksgiving 2011

 
Thanksgiving 2011 was a success.
Dinner at my in laws - turkey, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing, gravy, delicious appetizers, and fabulous desserts ~ and best of all, a ton of family time :)

Bug's Thanksgiving Lunch

Bug's class had a Thanksgiving lunch today and I was not able to make it because I was in clinicals - so my fabulous mother went to his lunch so that he'd have a parent there!
They ate lunch and played games :)

Green Team Dinner 2011

I quit teaching in October 2003 and ever since then, my old Green Team teachers and I have gotten together for dinner at Macaroni Grill every Christmas. 
Although one of them couldn't make it this year - we had a great time catching up and are hoping to get together in the Spring as well.

This lighting was very unflattering but catching up with everyone was a blast!

Camping at the lake

We went camping this weekend with our favourite camping families at one of our favourite camping sites, Pilot Knoll Park.  We really liked our campsite this year, sites 41 & 42.  They were close to the park and close to the bathrooms :)  Kids played at the park and down by the lake, we told ghost stories around the fire and made s'mores.  The weather was perfect and the company was great!
